Collection includes typescript copy of Oliphant's Harvard University Thesis "The range cattle industry in the Oregon Country to 1890," 111 pp, 1930; Typescript essay "John Mason Peck and the Nez PerceĢ 'Delegation'", 11 pp, circa 1930s; and a typescript letter from Oliphant to "Miss Pipes" on Bucknell University stationery, 1 p, 1945, with typescript copy of a letter from Joseph P. Tustin to Rev. Ezra Fisher of Lynn City, Oregon, 2 pp, 1851, about the "early contact of what is now Bucknell University with the Oregon Country."
